Reading and Modifying Variables
When you select a node in the MIB tree, the program requests the values of variables from the devices located in that node and displays them in the View panel. Variables are displayed according to their type specified in the MIB module describing the current node. The variables available for editing are blue. The program shows the description of the selected variable extracted from the corresponding MIB module in the Hint panel.
'Refresh variables' button on the toolbar is used for rereading the values of variables. You can use the 'Stop request' button if you want to stop the current reading process.
You can modify the value of a variable in the Properties dialog box shown in Figure 4.

The Properties dialog box opens when you double-click a variable in the View panel. Also, you can open it by selecting the 'Properties' command either from the context menu of the variable or from the 'Actions' menu. The Properties dialog box contains the name and the current value of the variable. In case the current variable is available for editing, you can modify its value using the 'Modify value' control element.
