Main Window

After you start the program and the MIB repository is loaded, the main window of the program will appear on the screen. Depending on the mode WinAgents MIB Browser is currently working in, the main window of the program contains different elements. You can see what the main window looks like in the MIB tree mode in Figure 1.

The window consists of the following parts in this mode:

1. Main menu. It contains all commands available in the program. The Main menu section contains the description of the commands.
2. Toolbar. The toolbar contains buttons for the commands from the main menu.
3. Favorites panel. This panel contains bookmarks making it easier to access the most frequently requested variables and MIB tree nodes.
4. MIB tree. This panel contains the tree of registered devices. Each device in the tree has its hierarchy of MIB variables. When you select a node, its content is displayed in the View panel.
5. View panel. The View panel displays the contents of the node selected in the MIB tree.
6. Navigation bar. You can use the buttons located here to switch between working modes of the program.
7. Hint panel. This panel contains the description of either the selected node or the selected variable.
8. Status bar. Messages about the current status of the program are displayed on the status bar.

Along with the menu, the toolbar and the status bar, the main window has the following elements in it:

1. MIB modules tree. The list of MIB modules and folders present in the program repository is displayed in the MIB Modules tree. When you select a module in the tree, its content is displayed in the View panel.
2. View panel. This panel contains the information about either the selected MIB module or the selected folder. You can either view the structure of the module with comments or work with the module in the text editor.
